Calling all photographers, nature enthusiasts, and conservation advocates!

We are thrilled to invite you to participate in our Fall 2026 Photography Contest. This unique competition aims to spotlight the vital themes of conservation, nature, agriculture, and farming practices through the art of photography. This contest will now be offered four times a year and has the option to showcase the beauty and wonder of each season.

Submission Guidelines:

• Application: Access here

• Photos: Can be uploaded with application or submitted to support@kyfccd.com

• Eligibility: Must be a resident of Fayette County, KY; photographs must be taken in Kentucky. All age groups are encouraged to apply! Maximum of three submissions per applicant.

• Format: Must enter digital submissions ONLY. No hard copies of photos will be considered.

• Deadline: Entries must be submitted by October 22nd, 2026.

• Judging Criteria: Creativity, relevance to the theme, technical excellence, and overall impact.

Categories:

• Working Lands & Farming
  Photos of production agriculture, pasture management, livestock, crops, and farm life.

• Backyard & Small-Scale Conservation

  Gardens, pollinators, rain barrels, community projects, and other small-acreage conservation projects.

• Water & Wildlife
  Streams, ponds, wetlands, wildlife habitat, pollinators, birds, and conservation practices that support them.

• Seasonal Rotation: Landscapes

  Seasonal and scenic shots of any of the above: farmland, tree canopy, pasture, or conservation areas in the fall.

Prizes:

• Overall Winner: $200

• Each Category Winner: $50
