Seasonal Scholarship Program
This program is offered by FCCD to fund a one-time scholarship payment of $2,000.
Two $1,000 awards for second and third place will also be granted.
Students who have received the district scholarship are eligible to apply, however, scoring rubrics give advantage to first-time applicants.

Select three practices from the FCCD Backyard Conservation Program at www.kyfccd.org/backyardconservation, and discuss their benefits and impacts on urban conservation efforts.
Apply October 27th - November 27th, 2025.
You must site your sources and extra points awarded for a 3.5 essay.

Applicant must be a valid resident of Fayette County, KY; must be enrolled in community college, college, or university (anywhere in the world!) with a declared major or minor in agriculture, natural resources, environmental science, or related discipline; must possess a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher.

Submit the following materials here, you may submit additional documents to support@kyfccd.com.
Complete our application and include a separate page for clubs, jobs, etc.
Provide a copy of your most recent transcript stating your school, major (if applicable), and most recent GPA.
Attach a 450–500-word essay on the assigned topic. 3.5 essay format is preferred.
Attach a copy of your driver's license showing your Fayette County residency. Those without a license are still encouraged to apply - please contact our office about submitting an alternate proof of residency.
