Seasonal Scholarship Program
This program is offered by FCCD to fund a one-time scholarship payment of $2,000.
Two $1,000 awards for second and third place will also be granted.
Students who have received the district scholarship are eligible to apply, however, scoring rubrics give advantage to first-time applicants.

*Essay Topic Summer 2025
Discuss the impact of urban agriculture in Fayette County, Kentucky. Highlight its contributions to food security, community involvement, and conservation. Provide examples of three local organizations that are central to urban agriculture in our area and describe the positive impact they have on our community.
Apply August 18th - September 18th, 2025.
Extra points are awarded for writing in a 3.5 essay format.

Applicants must be a valid resident of Fayette County, KY and be enrolled in a Fayette County school.
Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher.

Submit the following materials here, you may submit additional documents to support@kyfccd.com.
Complete our application and include a separate page for clubs, jobs, etc.
Provide a copy of your most recent transcript stating your school, major (if applicable), and most recent GPA.
Attach a 450–500-word essay on the assigned topic. 3.5 essay format is preferred.
Attach a copy of your driver's license showing your Fayette County residency. Those without a license are still encouraged to apply - please contact our office about submitting an alternate proof of residency.
