Stewards of Kentucky
Across the Commonwealth, Kentuckians are utilizing natural resources while using best practices to be stewards of our land. Honoring a framework that has evolved for nearly eight decades, landowners and tenants have the opportunity to work with Kentucky NRCS and local conservation districts to benefit from technical and financial guidance.
“Stewards of Kentucky” features a collection of articles from the field, emphasizing the connection between land stewardship and the conservation community. The Fayette County Conservation District aims to enhance this publication by introducing additional series that concentrate on urban conservation and the six eco-regions of Kentucky.

With almost 20 years of varied culinary experience, spanning from bakeries to fine dining, Selby shared that his previous career path, “led me to start farming as a way to close the loop on what inspires me.”
